Volunteer Opportunity: Sun & Fun Day on Diaper Day
Join us for a special Sun & Fun Day on Tuesday, September 10, as we invite our diaper parents and their kids to enjoy a day of fun and community in our backyard area. We need enthusiastic volunteers to help make this event a success!
Event Details:
- Date: Tuesday, September 10
- Time: Diaper Day hours (Noon - 6 p.m.)
- Location: Backyard area of the North Mississippi Exchange Family Center
Activities Planned:
- Mingling in the backyard
- Popcorn and refreshments
- Face painting
- Car seat safety checks by Valerie from the police department
Volunteer Tasks:
- Setup: Assist with setting up tables, and face painting stations.
- Popcorn Station: Prepare and serve popcorn to attendees.
- Face Painting: Help with face painting or assist the face painter with supplies and managing lines.
- Car Seat Safety: Support Valerie by directing parents to the car seat safety check area and managing the flow.
- Mingling and Supervision: Engage with parents and children, ensuring a friendly and safe environment.
- Cleanup: Help with packing up equipment, cleaning the area, and disposing of any trash.
Requirements:
- Friendly Attitude: Be welcoming and helpful to all attendees.
- Comfortable Clothing: Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes suitable for outdoor activities.
- Punctuality: Arrive on time and stay for the entire shift if possible.
- Safety: Ensure the safety of all participants, especially children.
