We are so excited to announce that this year's Harvest Angel Project is right around the corner! We would greatly appreciate it if you could share this information with your classes, colleagues, and friends and invite them to join in this community-wide service opportunity!
On Tuesday, November 18, from 2pm - 4pm, with the help of some amazing volunteers we will be packing 200+ bags of fresh produce sourced from our OXCM farmers to donate to the Oxford Food Pantry.
Last year we were able to pack and donate over 5,000 pounds of produce and this year we are expecting to exceed that! Following the packing, we will transport the produce from the market to the pantry and will need volunteers to help with this too!
On Wednesday, November 19, from 8am - 11am, we will be assisting the Oxford food pantry in distributing this produce, and we would love to have volunteers then too!
The market is located at the Old Armory Pavilion - 1801 University Avenue - right next to the Burger King. Please park at the parking lot by the Skate Park if you are volunteering for this event. The Pantry is located at 711 Molly Barr Road. Thank you all so much for helping spread the word about this project. We love seeing the community come together every year to make this special project happen!
