VOLUNTEER WISH GRANTER:
•Wish Discovery Volunteers - Meets with the wish child and family
members to help identify the child’s wish ideas while completing the
necessary paperwork. Wish Discovery volunteers work in teams of two
alongside Make-A-Wish staff to ensure every eligible child’s wish comes true.
These discovery calls will be done in person or virtually depending on the
family's needs.
•Wish Celebration Volunteers - Acts as the Make-A-Wish liaison to the wish
family after the wish has been determined and the paperwork completed.
These volunteers will also coordinate and execute a wish celebration two to
three weeks prior to the wish being granted. Wish celebration volunteers
work in teams of two alongside Make-A-Wish staff to ensure every eligible

VOLUNTEER WISH GRANTER REQUIREMENTS:
We are seeking people with a passion for working with children. In this role, you work as a team with a Wish Coordinator from Make-A-Wish® to determine a child’s one true wish and walk alongside a wish family through the wish process to help deliver a truly transformative wish experience. You are also responsible for helping plan a wish reveal for the wish child to enhance the excitement of the wish!
1. Daytime, evening or weekend availability
2. Complete and submit a volunteer application (found on midsouth.wish.org)
3. Complete our annual Conflict of Interest Form
4. Attend Wish Granting 101 ($25 donation helps cover background check costs). Training offered in person and virtually - check midsouth.wish.org for upcoming training events.
5. Work on two to three wishes each year to remain active Wish Granter
