Join us for the first games of the year! Support athletes to shine on and off the field!
Volunteers are vital in creating a supportive and inclusive environment for athletes to develop their skills, build confidence, and foster teamwork. Whether you’re a basketball enthusiast or just eager to help, your time and energy will make a lasting impact.
Track and Field will take place on Tuesday, March 18th at the Oxford Middle School Track and Field. Check-in will begin at 9:00am, with games commencing around 9:30am. We will need volunteers to arrive at 8:30am to assist with check-in and to prepare for the different events. Games should wrap up by 2:30pm.
Choose from either a full day or half day shift.
Volunteer Tasks May Include:
Coach Assistant
- Help the head coach run drills and encourage athletes.
- Provide one-on-one guidance to athletes needing extra support.
Scorekeeper/Timekeeper
- Manage the game clock and scoreboard.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping for game stats.
Equipment Manager
- Set up and clean up areas.
Cheer and Morale Squad
- Cheer on athletes during games and practices to motivate and inspire.
- Celebrate accomplishments.
Event Assistance
- Assist with organizing tournaments, securing venues, and managing logistics.
- Support fundraising efforts to ensure the program's success.
Requirements:
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a team-player attitude.
- No prior basketball experience required (for most roles).
