ANF Oxford is super excited to host our very first "Hush Hush Nomadic Cafe".
They're semi-secret coffee clubs, hosted outdoors. And the exact location is only revealed after you RSVP!
They were founded in Bend, Oregon, over 50 people across the world have submitted applications to start a Hush Hush Nomadic Café in their own community, and Meta recently collaborated with them on this Instagram post.
Here’s how this organic movement of normal folks describes themselves: “There are no permanent spaces. The places are created together, for a moment. People show up, coffee is shared, and something happens at the intersection of being outside, slowing down, and connecting with one another.”
We could all use a little more of those 3 things. They keep these gatherings small on purpose - it’s what makes them feel like something. We’re capping this one at 75.
Saturday August 15th from 7–10 am. Somewhere cool worth going to. Come whenever, stay as long or as little as you like. We bring the coffee. You bring a mug. Kids are welcome. Bring a friend or make one. We need more “third places” like this that can build community and bridge divides. And not just hang out in our microscopic bubbles of people just like us.
This one is co-hosted by ANF Oxford's President Alex Cortes and Recruitment Chair Anna Lauren Heavener.
We'd like to make this a regular thing in Oxford. But August 15th is where the magic starts. Be there or be square.
Highly recommend exploring Hush Hush Nomadic Cafe's Instagram page that has really cool videos to show you what the experience is like.
