The parents and Friends Organization of NMRC is a non-profit group organized in 1974 to support the mission and work of NMRC. Membership is open to all interested persons, with the majority of the group's members being the parents, family, legal guardians, and friends of the individuals served by NMRC.
What We Do
Promote public interest in the North MS Regional Center;
Inform families and friends of NMRC clients of the programs and activities;
Advise/aid families and friends to be come partners with NMRC;
Promote understanding of intellectual disabilities and the needs of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities;
Encourage an active volunteer program by civic groups, churches, and individuals from the northern 32 counties; and
Fund special projects to improve the quality of life for NMRC clients and to fund the NMRC employee recognition programs.
