Overview:
Visit Oxford is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to be the welcoming face of our Visitor Center. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with people, sharing local tips, and helping visitors make the most of their time in Oxford. Volunteers will provide excellent hospitality and become an essential part of creating a warm and memorable visitor experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Warm Welcome: Greet visitors with a friendly smile and create a positive first impression of Oxford.

Visitor Information: Provide details about local attractions, restaurants, shops, historic landmarks, and upcoming events.

Wayfinding: Help guests with directions around Oxford, including parking, downtown areas, the University of Mississippi campus, and other nearby destinations.

Brochure & Guide Distribution: Keep tourism brochures, maps, and guides organized and readily available.

Gift Shop Assistance: Support with light retail tasks such as restocking items, handling simple transactions, and keeping displays neat.

Event Support: Assist with seasonal events, tours, or community outreach activities hosted by Visit Oxford.

Visitor Engagement: Answer questions, offer personalized recommendations, and encourage visitors to explore all Oxford has to offer.

Visitor Feedback: Collect and share guest comments, suggestions, and questions to help improve the Visit Oxford experience.

Light Administrative Help: Support staff with mailings, organizing materials, or behind-the-scenes needs that keep the Visitor Center running smoothly.

Accessibility Support: Offer assistance to visitors with mobility needs or special requests.
