Volunteer Role:

Little Free Pantry Manager

As a Little Free Pantry Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and efficient operation of our community pantries. These pantries provide essential support to those in need, and your efforts will help maintain them as reliable and well-maintained resources.

Responsibilities:

  1. Routine Inspections: Regularly visit assigned pantry(s) to inspect their condition and report any necessary repairs.
  2. Inventory Management: Keep an accurate inventory of donated items, ensuring a well-stocked and organized pantry.
  3. Quality Control: Check packages to confirm they are properly sealed, labeled, and within their expiration dates.
  4. Temperature Monitoring: Collect and record temperature data to ensure perishable items are stored safely and to identify any potential issues related to weather conditions.

Qualifications:

  1. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  2. Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  3. Good communication skills for reporting issues and needs.
  4. A passion for community service and helping those in need.

Commitment:

  1. Flexible weekly schedule with a minimum commitment of 3x per week per pantry.
  2. Must alert STO office ASAP before ending commitment with pantry.
