Volunteer Opportunity: Be an Elf for the Oxford Christmas Parade!
Join us in making the Oxford Christmas Parade a magical experience! We’re seeking energetic “elves” to assist with day-of coordination for the December 2nd parade. Volunteers will play a vital role in ensuring everything goes smoothly and everyone enjoys a festive, seamless event.
Roles include:
- Banner Bearers-- 2 Volunteers 5:00PM Shift
Walk with pride as you carry the official parade banner at the front of the procession. You’ll be one of the first faces the crowd sees, so bring your holiday cheer!
- Parade Elves-- 20 volunteers 5:00 Shift
Get in on the fun by distributing parade throws along the route! As you walk the parade route, you’ll hand out fun parade items to spread joy and ensure that spectators get in the holiday spirit.
Each role is key to making this holiday event special for the community. Come celebrate the season, connect with your neighbors, and bring smiles to faces young and old!
Volunteers should be festival and wear appropriate festival attire.
Volunteers will be walking the route. This means you will need to find transportation back to your car, or expect to walk.
We will meet at the university museum but volunteers are not able to park there or anywhere on the line-up.
