Who We Are

Commodores Care is a nonprofit that serves the Lafayette County School District. It provides support to students through nurses and counselors with food, clothing, and other necessities. It serves around 150 kids (about 85 families) each school year and has a food closet that provides daily meals and snacks to students as well as a stocked clothing closet.

What We Do

We provide clothing, food, toiletries, and supplies to children from the Lafayette County School District. We partner with LovePacks and the Little Free Pantry to provide resources to the children in our community.

We accept donations of new clothing items for school-age children (Kindergarten to 12th grade). If you would like to donate, the following supplies are currently needed:

  • girls/women's leggings
  • boys/men's sweatpants
  • spray deodorant
  • sanitary wipes (travel sizes)
  • feminine hygiene products (pads, liners, tampons, etc.)

Any donations can be dropped off at the Commodores Care building or at the Stronger Together office.
