We are so happy to see all of the supporting words of encouragement.
It takes one person to start a domino effect of goodness.
The Little Free Pantries serve as an emergency food resource for our neighbors in need.
They are sustained by YOU through community donations, managed by the Stronger Together Oxford volunteers, and supported by Lovepacks.
Together, we ensure these pantries remain stocked and accessible but we can’t do it without constant consideration from us all.
Thoughtful donations and proper care are essential to keeping this community-led initiative running smoothly, rather than on repairs that could have been prevented by treating the boxes with love.
The Little Free Pantries also align with our Every Meal Initiative, which encourages donating complete, ready-to-make meals rather than just single canned goods.
You’ve probably seen meal packs in the pantries, we have too, and we love the thoughtfulness behind them!
If you’d like to take it a step further, consider hosting a meal-packing party with friends, family, or coworkers.
We’re happy to provide guidance, including paper bags and simple, nutritious recipe ideas to help make the most of your donations.
Lastly, a quick reminder: Frozen foods should never be placed inside the pantries.
If you have frozen items to donate, please call our office at 662-232-2773.
We can connect you with a nonprofit that will put them to good use; rather than letting them melt inside the pantry for bugs to enjoy and volunteers to clean up.
Let’s continue supporting our neighbors with kindness and care!
